Apostle Jeremiah Asomugha and his wife, Lady Denetra Asomugha, founded Miracle City Church. Apostle Jeremiah is a man called by God to establish the Kingdom of God locally, nationally, and internationally. He was given the authority to carry out a specific mandate: to raise a generation that will manifest the glory of God in Houston, TX. Our assignment is to bring souls into the Kingdom of God through the preaching of the gospel, healing the sick and manifesting God’s power through miracles, signs, and wonders.
Our Mission
Our mission is to gather the Sons and Daughters of God and make them the disciples of the Word of God by teaching them an uncommon faith, miraculous, and healing power of the Lord Jesus Christ and helping them stand victoriously in life.
Our Beliefs
The Bible
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God. It is inspired, infallible, and unchangeable from Genesis to Revelation (2 Timothy 3:16). One God in three people—we believe in God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, and that the three are one. (1 John 5:7)
The Deity of Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Only Son of God who was born of a virgin woman and was crucified, died, but rose again on the third day. He ascended to the heavens and now sits at the right hand of the Father. (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 1:30-35).
Salvation
We believe that salvation is gained through repentance and the confession of sins. It is given by divine grace (not by works) and is received by faith in Jesus Christ. He is the only mediator between God and men (Acts 4:12). The resurrection of the dead and eternal life. We believe in the second coming of Christ for His people. Those who have died in the name of Christ will rise first while those who are alive will be taken up by Him but, all will go through the judgment of God. Those whose names are written in the book of life will rise again for eternal life, and those whose names aren’t will face eternal condemnation (1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, Revelation 20:11- 15).
Sanctification
We believe in sanctification as a work done instantaneously in the spirit, but one which must be developed progressively in the soul, and in the body of a child of God (Hebrews 12:14, Romans 6:19-22).
Baptism
We believe in the baptism of the Body of Christ by which the person who accepts Jesus is born again and goes on to be part of the Body of Christ and His eternal life. We believe in the baptism in waters as a sign of identifying with the death (to sin) and the resurrection of Jesus for eternal life (Romans 6:4). We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and that, through this baptism, we receive the power to be witnesses of Jesus to the whole world (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:4, Mark 16:17).
Laying of Hands
We believe that the laying of hands is one of the ways to transfer blessings, healing, and the power of God from one person to another (Acts 8:15-20, 1 Timothy 4:14, 2 Timothy 1:6). The five ministries. We believe in the five ministries of Ephesians 4:11, as the gifts given by God to the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11).
The Healing and Delivering Power of the Kingdom
We believe in the power of the Kingdom to heal the sick, cast out demons, and make miracles, signs, and wonders (Matthew 12:28).
Faith
We believe that without faith, it is impossible to live a life that is pleasing to God and that through it, we inherit His promises (Hebrews 11:6).
Preaching the Gospel
We believe in expanding the Kingdom at a local, national, and international level through every means available to us (Matthew 24:14).
